Our Favorite Beach
Sawdust and Sand is a company organized in 2008 to turn waste wood into objects of beauty and offer them for sale to individuals that love wood. I have been working in wood since I was a child. As a poor school teacher I filled my home with furniture that I built; including bed, couch, dining table, and media center.Today I do a lot of turning.
I now reside in Hawaii and feel it would be a shame if I didn’t include some of the beautiful scenery for you to enjoy. Therefore I have tried to place some of my bowls in settings that will enhance their beauty and your enjoyment. Just a comment about the use of my bowls offered here.
I create products for decorative, as well as functional use . Those intended for non-food applications are given a penetrating finish coat that is very durable. Bowls with a food safe finished require a bit more care. Fortunately, this care takes little time and is very easy. Besure as you decide on a bowl to buy you consider the use you wish to put it to. If you like a bowl and would prefer having an alternative finish, contact me for options. I am always eager to meet my costomers needs.
